The Klute
The Klute (known to the government as Bernard J. Schober) is a southern Arizona slam poet who combines pop-culture saturation with punk rock sensibility to try to make you laugh, get angry, and think (not necessarily in that order). He’s been a member of 4 National Poetry Slam teams from Mesa, AZ (2002-2003, 2005-2006) and traveled the United States and Canada for latest tour.

Lauren Perry
Lauren Perry is a wild card poet who hails from Elgin, IL but has made a nest in Phoenix, Arizona. Performing on Mesa Poetry slam teams 2006, 2009, and 2010, she’s coming up behind you with tricks in her sleeve and sharp teeth in her smile. Not to be taken lightly, she’s been the Women of the World representative twice ~ once for Phoenix in 2009 and Mesa in 2010.

Madeline Beckwith
I am a spoken word poet, singer, author and kick-ass poker player. Although I am originally from Nebraska, I consider Las Vegas to be my artistic home. I was the Las Vegas Grand Slam Champion in 2002. I hosted Las Vegas’ first weekly slam in conjunction with Clark County Parks and Recreation before branching out to other venues. I have toured across the country in support of my first CD: “What it’s like for Girls.”

Sharon Skinner
Sharon Skinner is an award-winning poet who received her B.A. in English from Ottawa University and her M.A. in Creative Writing from Prescott College. She is currently a board member for Anthology, inc. and GPA (Grant Professionals Association). She is also an active member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and SCBWI AZ. From 1996 to 2004 she served as the Executive Editor of Anthology magazine, a small press literary magazine published in Mesa, Arizona.
